Latest Creation

Here is a picture of my latest creation!



The butterfly and leaves were done with a paint/sand mix and are textured. It was harder to use than I thought, but it turned out okay!

Tomorrow is the last day of tax season ... can we say excited??!! This past week wasn't as bad as others, but it had a couple moments!

Today is 12 days until we go to Florida! SOOOO can't wait. It is going to be so good to get away from it all for 9 days! Yeah. Not really looking forward to the 6 1/2 hour flight, but I'll survive. The end result is worth it! And the weather is going to be soooo nice!

Haven't been up to much other than working. Got my hair done yesterday and it looks awesome! It's a darker auburn/red color with blond highlights through out. Got a busy few days coming up getting things ready for the trip. Have to make sure things are done at work and get all the last minute things to take and what not.

Personally I hate the day, but that's just me!

I hope today's drive home goes better than yesterday's. It took me 2 hours to get home. Normal time is 20 min - 1/2 hour on a busy day. Yeah, I was not a happy driver!!

The Wedding

Amazing.

Absolutely Amazing and Beautiful.

My cousin's wedding was this weekend. It was awesome. They are so Happy and everyone had a good time.

The day turned out not to bad considering all the snow we've gotten over the past week and all the cold we've had. The sun was shining and the sky was blue.

The ceremony was very nice, the guy was a little hard to understand as he had a very heavy Italian accent, A little to much up and down and all that catholic stuff though!
The fact that their was a funeral right before the ceremony was a little un nerving, but everything went well.

I went to the reception, held at the Stampede Grounds - Roundup centre - early so that I could set up the cake. It looked sooooooo good with the flowers on it and the lady who was the event coordinator put a red satin table cloth on the table and it looked great. I got alot of compliments on the cake. Lindsay and Dan loved it.

The supper was good and the speeches were nice.

And it was a toonie ($2.00) bar. YEAH!!

The DJ was awesome. He played music that everyone, young and old, liked and it never got to loud. You could still talk to people in a normal voice while the dance was going on.
I think I surprised a few people with how much dancing I did but, me + a few drinks = dancer!!
My cousin Maria and I had a good time!!

Then came the bouquet toss....... and guess what????

I CAUGHT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep. Me. Little old me!!! Everyone said they wanted to meet him and "I was like so do I!!" It was neat. There were 6 roses with babies breath, very pretty. And it kinda freaked my dad out as he didn't realize that I had caught it until I came back to the table with it and he's like, " oh no you didn't?" and I was like, "Oh yes I did!!!" He he!!

So ya, a good time was had by all, they are married and soooo happy and on their honeymoon and yeah, that's that.

De-Lurked.

Although, I don't think I was lurking so much, as just casually reading and not having much to comment!!
Oh well. I'm out there now! Hopefully it will bring some more readers over to my blog.


In other news, How's everyone's New year going so far?
Mine? CRAPPY.
All work related.
Things started out okay, the first few days back were okay, not quite as expected as my boss was around. (She and her family were supposed to be on a 14 day cruise over xmas and new years, but her hubby got appendicitis(spelling?) the day before they left, so they did not go.)
That was fine then. I had a little more on my plate that week than first thought, but nothing to difficult. Then on Thursday, the hard drive on my lovely #$^&ing piece of crap of a laptop decides to crash. DEAD. DEAD. and DEAD. Yipee for me. Then I get a strip or two or three torn off me cause of something a bookkeeper forgot to do, mind you, the computer issues didn't help the bosses mood any! So yeah last week ended shitty and this week started out shitty. We had a guy come to see if he could recover the data, but no! and well lets just say the boss hadn't backed anything up on the puter. Smooth move!! So yeah, had the computer HD re-done and so I'm back up and running .... re-doing a lot of work. We sent the HD away to Ontario to a place that has better equipment to recover data. and that bill can be anywhere from $1000 - $1900. Oh yeah. That made the Boss happy. Not that I blame her ... but holy crap .. way to start out the new year!!
Gotta love technology when it doesn't work!

Hopefully now things will get better.

Anyway, I'm off to bed. This has been a mentally exhausting week.

Hopefully since I've de-lurked myself a few new people will stop by!!

I won't get a chance to post again before Christmas, So I am going to now! We are leaving this afternoon rather than tomorrow. Which means we get to travel at night .. yeah...not. But hey I get off work early!!
